General Information:
Wirth/Schurtenberger achieved 7th place in the World Championship classification with this racing machine in 1950. After Willi Wirths retirement, the team was forgotten for a few years until a new start was made in Oulens-Villars in 1962. Meienberg lost his passenger Erwin Amsler shortly after the start, but the story continued. After technical problems, the Gilera agent Paul Schneider in Seon acquired the Gilera San Remo. A complete restoration was carried out and the elegant sidecar fender of Jakob Kellers Gilera team was installed. After a few races until 2001, Karl Dengler rebuilt the bike in 2012 and 2013.
